We cannot experience mental fitness if we have resident fears in our mind that refuse to go away. Understandably many suffer certain fear about contracting disease and some hold extreme fear of developing cancer.  There is so much written about cancer.  There are so many people suffering from cancer. And there are millions more who are fearful of getting the disease.

Although there is a great deal known about treatment of the disease both by orthodox and by naturopathic medicine, the public is somewhat confused. A person when diagnosed will usually play safe and follow the accepted present medical system that uses drug therapy and surgery in spite of having no guarantee of a cure. The cure of cancer remains an elusive medical problem.

As individuals however, we are best to focus our minds to a healthier pursuit in finding methods of prevention. Any fear of cancer diminishes to the extent that we accumulate knowledge and are willing to put into practice information that we genuinely feel has value.

Cancer is a very complex disease with complex causes. In order to feel that we are doing something positive in prevention, we must be considering a number of facets that are important.
These involve avoiding pollution of many kinds. One relates to water quality and avoiding chlorine and fluoride; avoidance of chemical sprays, traffic fumes, effluents from industry, and agricultural chemicals. There are many other suspect toxins that destroy our health and contribute to our internal body pollution and we need to be aware of many possible carcinogenic factors such as mobile phones and microwaves and others still being investigated.

But more and more attention is turning towards positive health factors over which we continue to have some control. We can increases our self-confidence by positive efforts to improve our health by applying natural principles and practices that will result in physical and mental fitness.

It is possible that we can also alter or resolve a psychological factor found to be shared by many cancer patients. It is a condition of intense internal stress or a long-held state of unhappiness or dissatisfaction with one’s life. Intense hurt or a great disappointment also has a power to affect our body cells.

By practising both physical relaxation to relieve stress and meditation for our mental fitness and peace, we are doing as much as possible to become free of the fear of any disease, including cancer. Many claim these practices to have been a strong element in their eventual cure.

As we apply practical measures of prevention and develop positive mental attitudes, fears about cancer are likely to gradually dissolve.
